THE MEETING PLACE FOR ALL RUNS IS SAINSBURYS CAR PARK IN HAMILTON  AT 8.00 AM ON A SUNDAY MORNING.


New Runs List for Oct, Nov and Dec 2014    

Sunday 12th Oct  Glencoe red black DH  you pays yer money, takes yer chance

(Full facers and body Armour recommended)

Sunday 19th Oct  Rob Roy stuff, Balquidder, Kirkton Glen,Glen Dochart loop

(no chance of Neil McK squeezing through the narrow gates with 810mm wide bars this time)

Sunday 26th Oct  Pentland hills

November 2014

Sunday 2nd  GT red,black Mash up u choose?

Sunday 9th Lowther mission (Wnlockhead to drumlanrig and back) epic stuff

Sunday 16th Comrie Croft new trails

Sunday 23rd Ardgarten loop between Arrochar and Rest and be thankful

Sunday 30th  Whinlatter trail centre Keswick (dawn raid)

Friday 5th - Sunday 7th  Badaguish/ Aviemore yearly w/end with our friends in the north (limited accomodation)

Sunday 21st Caron valley or cathkin blast then last of the crimbo shopping, or Inners if u are all ready for Xmas
 
Sunday 28th  Kirroughtree Red/Black, get rid o that turkey nice all day shot
 
Transport available to anyone who needs it. If you need a hand with transport we can normally help out as we share cars to keep the costs down.

The aim of the club is to help as many people as we can to get out to ride their bike and to help them get fitter, there are no fees and we get to have a bit of a laugh and see some of our beautiful country.

There is also a midweek run every Wednesday night leaving the watersports centre at Strathclyde Park at 7.00pm.  If you plan to join this run which is around Chatelherault/ Strathclyde Park you will need to invest in a reasonably good set of lights.

The aim of the club is to help as many people as we can to get out to ride their bike and to help them get fitter, there are no fee`s and a we get to have a bit of a laugh and see some of our beautiful country. 
The club was really set up as an idea from the bikepod owner, Cameron Fisher and Davie Weir in response to people coming into the shop looking for either somewhere to ride or someone to ride with. The format is very loose in that their are no fees or rules and regulations. This is simply a group of like minded people who just want to get out to ride their bikes and this is done on the understanding that each person is responsible for themselves (is that a rule !!! ).
The first run of the bike club was in August 2005 and this was around Chatelherault. Since then we have met every Sunday morning to ride, this usually means an 8.00am and we meet at Sainsbury's Hamilton where we organise transport. We have had a wide variety of runs using both the man made and natural resources that we in Scotland have in abundance.
There is a mixture of skills within the people who come along but we can normally accommodate anyone who has a basic level of fitness or at least willing to acquire a basic level of fitness. The runs also reflect a mixture of skills, fitness and enjoyment and we can usually advise anyone on what might suit them.
The most important part of the club is the enjoyment that we all have for the sport of mountain biking.
